OUR SERVICES: THE SCHOOL BAND
School Band encourages a feeling of oneness, belongingness and a deep sense of pride and honour among school children. The rhythm of a band instils a strong feeling of action, courage and patriotism. In the light of such principles and ideals, our organisation is committed to provide art-integrated education (including music) and sports integrated education in the light of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and National Education Policy 2020. School Band is a unique example of all such activities.
Our organisation will supply of Band Instruments ,Band Costumes and training and capacity building sessions on different Bands like Brass Band and Pipe Band and conducts Inter School Band Competitions at school level, district level, zonal level and national and international level.
Diverse level Band Practices are done under the supervision of the Band Masters and training and capacity building to the band groups is provided by professional trainers called Band Major or Band Master who are generally retired from the Army/Navy/Police Services.
The instruments and the paraphernalia related to the band like Bass Drums, Tanner Drums, Side Drums, Bugle Copper (Standard Specification), Hand Cymbal, Trumpet, Clarinet, Bass Circle, Trampoline etc. are made available for practice under the supervision of the band master.
The select group of children from classes VI to XII constitutes the school band. They have been well trained for “In Threes Marching”, a quick drill marching, besides being trained in “Circle Marching”, “Bugler & Drummer Group Marching”, “Group Cover Marching”, “Figure Eight Marching”, “Square Marching”, etc.

A School band evokes a feeling of oneness, belongingness and a deep sense of pride in school children. The rhythm of a band instils passion, action, courage and motivation among all. Our organisation SYNERGY have been trying to strengthen school band practices and competitions under the collaborative effort of ‘Each One Teach One’.

Provision Of Quality Band Instruments
Our institute will proved quality band instruments to various Government schools, Private schools , government departments , private institutions and central and & State universities in India.
Pipe Band Instruments
The Pipe Band Instruments and Number of Instruments used during the School Band completion at various level School , District, Zonal and national level include:
- 12 Pipes
- 8 Side Drums
- 2 Tenor Drums ,
- 1 Bass Drum ,
- 1 Cymbal

Band Costumes
Our Synergy organisation will proved quality band costumes , band dress, band uniform to various Government schools, Private schools , government departments , private institutions and central and & State universities in India based on State and UT specific and local culture. Band Constumes will be prepared based on existing tradition of States and , local specific . Band Constumes provides the culture of the State prevailing with society.Students participating in School Band, wearing Band Costume is mandatory for band performance .The school is generally uses school dress, the same school dress is used in the school band duly adding few accessories, hence the school dress will becomes the school band costume. In addition to accessories , the band costumes includes gloves wearing , use of hats and wearing of shoes etc. Some of the accessories used for the school dress as well to band instruments includes Banner with logo, Ribbion Unit Colour, Cord Silk, Band Master Sash, Band Master Zari Belt, Goldern Zari Dress cord, shoulder epaulettes with button, bass drum apron, officer peak cap.
Band Training And Capacity Building
Synergy organisation is having in house pool of band masters who are retired from army, military, navy and other defence departments.Training on School Band is provided on a sectional/group rehearsal basis. Leading a sectional rehearsal is a critical part of the trainer who is the Band Master or the Section Leader. The bandmaster makes full rehearsals run smoothly, saving valuable time and giving individual attention to the group members on band practice.
The principles involved in leading a sectional rehearsal or conducting band training are very similar for all instrumental sections and resemble the procedures for performance- oriented training along with required pre-rehearsal procedures. The pre-rehearsal procedure includes Forming Rehearsal Objectives and Planning Rehearsal. While conducting the rehearsal, the section leader may find difficulty at first but it becomes easier and more effective with gradual practice.
For increasing the rehearsal effectiveness, The Band Master has to follow the principles like:

Classroom Rules

PROCEDURE AND SAILENT FEATURES OF SCHOOL BAND COMPETITION
SELECTION: The Physical education master of the schools will identify the school students for preparing the school band team for each school based on the interest of the students in band performance , physical fitness and height of the students .
SCHOOL BAND COMPETITION AT VARIOUS LEVELS SCHOOL LEVEL :
Schools will form school band in school . The school band team will make practice with support from the School Physical education teacher or school band teacher . The school band team is formed for pipe band team and brass band team separately. The school band
team is formed separately for Boys and Girls. Some states will form school band team for pipe band team only. Some states will form school band team for brass band team only. Some states will form school band team for flute band team. Some State will for school band team as per the local band with local tradition band instruments.
DISTRICT LEVEL :
The school band team who are interested to participate in the district level band competition will participate in the district level duly register the school band team at district education office/district samagra shiksha office with due interaction with district samagra shiksha official incharge of district school band competition . The district level officals will arrange band competition for the school band of piep band team and brass band team at the district level . The district level jury will select first winner team of piepband team and brass band team of boys and girls based on the performance of the each band teams.
STATE LEVEL :
All the district level first winner band team of pipe band team and brass band team of the boys and girls will participate in the State level Band competition . The State level jury will select first winner team of piepband team and brass band team of boys and girls based on the performance of the each band teams .
ZONAL LEVEL :
All the State level first winner band team of pipe band team and brass band team of the boys and girls will participate in the Zonal level Band Competition . The Zonal level jury will select first winner team of piepband team and brass band team of boys and girls based on the performance of the each band teams .
NATIONAL LEVEL :
All the Zonal level first winner band team of pipe band team and brass band team of the boys and girls will participate in the National level Band competition . The National level jury will select first winner team of piepband team and brass band team of boys and girls based on the performance of the each band teams .
BAND COMPETITION GUIDELINES
i.Registration : School band teams who are interests to participate in District level school band competition will register the school band team details with district level education office or district samagra shiksha officer duly interaction with district samagra shiksha officer incharge of School Band competition.
ii.Eligibility : The Band competition will be open for all categories of schools. Education department of state and UTs will conduct inter school band competition within their respective States and UTs. No profession groups/artists shall be allowed to company the band groups.
iii.Team Members:
The band team includes 1 Band Leader/1 Major and 24 Band Members ( Band Contingent /Students) . 2 accompanists i.e one band master and one escort teacher will take care of the band team.
iv.Band groups:
The band groups may consists of Pipe band team , Brass band team, flute band team and local band team.

vii.Theme: Theme of the band should be patriotic.
viii.Tune:
Any tune based on patriotic songs , classical “dhun”, folk tunes etc. National Anthem tune is Not allowed for Band performance.
ix.Banners and any other documents
Band groups should not use/display any banners, knife,khukhri or flags during the competition.
x.Band Costume:
Wearing band costume is mandatory for the performance.
xiTime Limit:
The maximum time limit for the performance may be 7 minutes to 10 minutes for each time.
xii.Jury
There is need to form jury for District level, State level, Zonal level and national level. The jury may be taken from the armed forces, CRPF, Police current working or retired officials or experience band instructor or band masters or experience individual worked in the field of school band competition at District, state, national level or any other places.
It is of paramount importance that high standards of fairness are maintained to ensure neutral and merit based decision at all level of the competition.
Jury should particularly be free from any kind of regional biases and should not provide any chance to the participating States and UTs to raise an objection regarding the decision particularly in favour of the hosting state.
The Jury should , therefore maintain complete transparency in providing results of the competition . The jury should sit at different places while preparing the results of each band teams performance .The final jury results will be examined by the competent authority of the District, State ,Zonal and National Samagra Shiksha officials in charge of the Band Competition .
xiii.No of members in Jury :
In the jury at least 6 to 10 members needed for better judgement and results .The Jury may consists of both male and female members. In case of non availability of the female members , male jury form the jury. The Jury members may worked in the field of pipe band,
brass band, flute band or local band or experience person having knowledge in the field of school band activities.
xiv.Various items to be seen during the performance ( by the jury members)
- Band Master/Major and contingent ( band group members) (Body language, costume, uniform, Hairstyle, shoes , Decooration of Band Instruments)

xvi.Awards :
First , second and third Winning teams At State level , Zonal level and national will be given trophy and certificates . Similarly at the Zonal level and national the non winner teams also be given trophy and certificate as the team reached up to zonal and national level. All the winners teams will be given cash prize , similarly non winner teams also be given cash prizes .The cash prizes will be given in the name of the school, that cash prize is used for school band activities in the school.

Xviii Budget:
- School level : School will form school band teams and training from the School
- Disrict level : District level band competition will be organised duly meeting district level MMER/Project Manageent funds
- State Level : An amount of Rs.5.0 lakhs is provided for conduct of the State level band competition in the State level Band competition funds head.
- Zonal level band competition & . National level band competition funds will be meet from national level budget.

Sikkim Boys Band performance during first national level inter school band comeption held at New Delhi during the year 2017-18 at national Bal Bhawan, New Delhi. Pipe band with band costumes.
Southern Regional level Inter school band competion held duirng the year 2019-20 at ongole, Praksham district, Andhra pradesh during the year 2019-20.

Brass Band Instruments to be supplied includes Trumpet, Euphonium, Bass Drum, Side Drum, Symbol (brass), Bugle and Major Stick (Marching Stick), chanter and Triangle
- Band Costumes
Band Costumes (for Boys and Girls )i.e Uniforms supplied includes various items like Full coat design zari decoration, caver &hanger (Blue& Red colour) , Skirt with design, Full pant with design, long socks with design, Beret caps with feather and monogram, , Leather belt with buckle, Kamarbandh with pallu and monogram, Golden zari dress cord, Golden epaulets, white ankiet etc.
- Band training
Band training includes, training on Marches (Quick March and Slow March), Formations, Standard of playing – (Quality of tunes), Presentation, Timely completion of the performance, other items likes Playing Rhythm, Music & Movements, March pasts by Stamping Heal & Hand Swing, Entry past by Stamping Heal & Hand Swing, Accuracy of stamping in the Display area. Band Training will be provided to band team of boys and girls and physical education teachers of various schools in India both government schools and private schools.
